About Merz: Meet the Mind
Merz Esguerra is a writer, content producer, and brand strategist who helps creators and businesses find the words, ideas, and stories that reflect who they are. His work spans content production, creative collaboration, and brand and messaging strategy.
He began his career in music as a songwriter, artist manager, and live show curator before transitioning into sports in 2015. Through coaching high school basketball and recruiting student-athletes, he helped dozens secure college scholarships.
Merz holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Nevada State University and a master’s degree in sports administration from the University of Miami.
That same focus on people and storytelling carries into his work with his cousin and longtime creative collaborator, Chris Punsalan. As a writer, Merz helped bring years of Chris’s content and lived experience together into a book, preserving the personal voice at the heart of the story.
Originally from Virginia Beach, Merz now lives in Las Vegas.
